Christian Husband Father
Christianity doesn’t make a person perfect. In fact, that is far from the truth. What it means is I acknowledge my faults and imperfections, and I know that I need a Savior because His way leads to eternal life. Being a Christian means that I am striving to be Christ like and that looks different for everyone. I am a work in progress and even the apostle Paul described his life long journey in Christ in Philippians 3.
Married to the love of his life and best friend, Daniel and his wife tied the knot nearly 20 years ago. “I’d like to thank my wife for her patience, understanding, and relentless love. She truly is the most giving and special person I know.”
Second only to my wife, my kids are the most important people in my life. I want the best for them and I am so honored to have been chosen to be their dad.
Music Director Teacher
Being impacted so greatly by amazing mentors and teachers is what led me to the teaching profession. Starting with my dad, who always stressed the fundamentals, I was influenced by many amazing men over the years. Some of them are Pete Teagarden, Dr.Carter, and Lamonte Kuskye.
I started my directing career at Mt.Vernon High School in Fortville, Indiana where I was part of a two person team who designed the performing arts wing of the new high school. Later that year, I moved on to Batesville and did not get to enjoy the new space but I’ve heard it is amazing as we had planned.
Coach
Daniel holds a USAB Coaching License and is a NCAA Certified Basketball Coach. He currently coaches for Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis. Prior to his time at HCS, Daniel served as the 16U AAU National Team Coach for Hickory Hoops, as well as the 4th/5th Grade Boys Basketball team. He has also coached for the Fishers Travel organization and the Mudsock organization.
Helping boys learn how to develop their individual skills as well as grow as a team player within different defenses and offenses is an area I feel passionately about. Sports can be emotional and decisions about calls and outcomes are out of our control. This is why I feel strongly about helping boys and young men understand how to control their emotions, react with maturity, and be in control. Although sports teach teamwork and how to be a part of something bigger, I think the larger life lesson is self control and sports psychology. Learning the plays is the easy part. Learning how to react and control your emotions is hard.
Disc Golfer
#2ADGC – #69HDGU
My journey into disc golf started mere months before the pandemic. In the later parts of 2019, I was foraging through the isles of any sporting goods store in the area looking for discs. Although I had driven past parks and the disc golf baskets, I never knew what they were and I didn’t really pay close enough attention to what people were doing. You can see my tournament schedule and previous experience by viewing my professional disc golf page here. I am currently a member of Anderson Disc Golf Club and, at times, am a member of the Hamilton Country Disc Golf Union. In 2023 I helped frame the tee pads and drill to the basket post holes for a new course in Anderson called Derby Downs Disc Golf Course.
Gamer
When my son asked me if he could play the most poplar game in the world, Fortnite, I was hesitant and I had to check it out for myself first. It didn’t take long for me to get hooked myself and begin to enjoy playing with him and on my own. Not too many months after that, I realized playing games online with my family and friends was kinda cool. Naturally I had to get a squad together. You can view my game play live or from pre recorded videos by checking out my Twitch channel or YouTube channel.

20 + Years of Experience in Industry
Music Director | Teacher
One of my happiest accomplishments has been to start the Show Choir program at Pendleton Heights High School. Decades before my arrival at the district, my one of my predecessors/mentors had previously taken the Emerald Suites (all girls) group to festivals and competitions. However, based on the word of Jim Scott, who had been in the district for nearly fifty years, the Pendletones had never competed in a Show Choir competition. In the past the program had participated in festivals and showcases, but not actual competitions. It is my honor to start the program and to be the first to take the Pendletones to Show Choir competition. It is now a regular weekend expectation that both the top varsity groups compete around the state and earn consistently earn grand champion. In 2022 both of these varsity groups, under the direction of Erin Archer, won the State Championship. As the feeder program for the high school program, I was extremely proud of the students and excited for the community for their huge and history accomplishment.
